Last month, he returned to the major leagues of American professional baseball, but he continued to be sluggish, and left-handed pitcher Yang Hyun-jong (33), who was ‘waited for release’ by the Texas Rangers, was decided to remain in the minor league triple-A team.

On the 17th, John Blake, vice president of public relations at the Texas club, said on Twitter, “Lefty Hyun-jong Yang, who was waiting for release on the 16th, has been transferred to Triple A Round Rock.” Round Rock is a Triple-A team in Texas. CBS Sports also reported that Yang Hyun-jong will remain in Round Rock.

Yang Hyun-jong, who returned to the Major Leagues last month, appeared as a bullpen in four games and allowed only four runs (four earned runs) in 6.1 innings. In the end, Yang Hyun-jong returned to the minor leagues on the 15th, and within a day, Texas waited for Yang to be released in order to include outfielder Willie Calhoun on the major league 40-man roster. As a result, Yang Hyeon-jong had to wait a week for an offer to sign another team, be released, or completely downgraded to the minor leagues. In reality, Yang Hyun-jong had to choose between staying in the minor leagues and returning to the KBO after being released because the possibility of receiving an offer from another team in MLB was small. However, with the decision to go to Round Rock, Yang Hyun-jong is expected to remain in the US and finish the season in the minor leagues. Previously, Yang Hyun-jong was relegated to the minor league in June and was placed on standby for release, but at the time he signed a minor league contract with Round Rock. Yang Hyun-jong posted a 5.60 ERA in 12 MLB games this season without winning 3 losses.
