That comes with breaking many records, acceleration from 0-100 km in 3.4 seconds, the highest performance record for a car with a non-compressed air engine. Topple the Ferrari F40 throne. Reigning as king of the road car from 1997 until 2005, the Bugatti Veyron took the title. The idea for the McLaren F1 was born from the desire to produce a car that would be as capable as the Furmula 1 racing car, but could be driven on public roads.
