‘Report protest stump mic’; Koli trolley fans amid the Ashes

Sydney; Trolls during the Ashes series for Indian players protesting against the umpires’ decision through a stump mic during the third Test against South Africa. English pace bowler Stuart Broad has called the camera team bad during the fifth Test of the Ashes series in Hobart. Broad’s fans were advised to use a stump mic if they had anything to say to the camera team.

It was during the 63rd over of Australia’s first innings that Broad became angry with the camera team. Broad, who ran to bowl, stopped the action before releasing the ball. Then he shouted, ‘Stop moving that machine!’

Its video has gone viral on social media. Broad’s protest was compared to a controversial move by Virat Kohli during the third Test against South Africa, fans tweeted. Fans’ comment was to complain to Stump Mike like Kohli.

Earlier in the day, Kohli called Stump Mike to protest his alleged involvement in the South African player’s correction of Elgar’s outing through the DRS. Along with Kohli, KL Rahul and R Ashwin recorded similar protests. This was the talk of the cricket world. The former players had said that the reaction from the Indian players was immature.
