Resignation after suspension; The police delayed the action Saji Cherian Constitution Remark

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM ∙ Although the opposition did not take center stage, one thing was clear when the speaker canceled the question and answer session and the free time in the morning; CPM and government are preparing for extraordinary political moves. The suspense was whether it would lead to the resignation of Minister Saji Cherian or not to resign.

In the morning, the UDF was in discussions about the levels of protest. However, when Saji Cherian announced his resignation in the evening press conference when he asked ‘why resignation’ while leaving the CPM meeting in the afternoon, the political drama full of twists and suspense climaxed.

After canceling question time and empty time, the assembly broke up at 9.08 am and the chief minister and ministers went straight to the secretariat. With that, it became clear that the government does not intend to take a stand in the assembly and is moving for a political decision. However, Saji Cherian sat in the office of the Legislative Assembly. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister’s office has sought legal advice on whether resignation is necessary.

On the 10th, Saji Cherian returned to the Secretariat Annex office under heavy police security. He went to the office without saying a word to the journalists. After that, even when he reached the AKG center, Saji Cherian did not bother to respond. As the discussion continued inside the available secretariat, news came out that the matter of Saji Cherian’s resignation has been moved to be decided in today’s full secretariat meeting.

Saji came out and moved towards the car without responding, but in front of the repeated questions, he got a counter question: “Why Raji? Everything that needs to be said has been said yesterday.” From this response, there was an indication that there would be no resignation. When he attended the cabinet meeting on the 4th, he confirmed the matter once more. After that, when it was announced that Saji Cherian had called a press conference at 5.45 pm, there was excitement again. Finally the news arrived.

Police delayed action

Thiruvalla ∙ Dramatic incidents took place in the police and court yesterday in the complaints against Saji Cherian’s speech. All the complaints received by the police were given to the district public prosecutor for legal advice in the morning. However, it was informed that legal advice could not be given as the CD given by the complainant was not complete.

Meanwhile, Baiju Noyal, one of the complainants, approached the First Class Magistrate’s Court. The case was adjourned to 8 to give the police time to investigate. However, shortly before the court adjourned, the Magistrate sent a letter to the Kirvaipur SHO in a sealed envelope. The police came to the station with this letter. The cover was handed over to the DySP at 6 pm as the SHO was not present. The order of the court was to conduct further investigation and file a case. However, the police did not release the information given by the court till late at night or take any action. It is alleged that despite the court’s urgent instructions, the police is waiting for instructions from someone else at a higher level.
