Resignation, not resignation, pun with IBK and acting coach Kim Sani [MK현장]

IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, which started out noisy amidst all kinds of controversies, was creaking from the first day under the system of acting director Kim Sani. Although he took the victory, coach Kim Sa-ni himself and even the front desk of the club did not have clear traffic control over where he was going.
IBK won the away match against Heungkuk Life Insurance in the second round of the 2021-2022 Dodram V-League at Samsan World Gymnasium in Incheon on the 23rd with a set score of 3-0 (25-21 25-18 27-25). Although the season was tied with Pepper Savings Bank with 2 wins and 8 losses and 5 points, it was ahead in the set percentage gain and went up to 6th place from last place.
IBK sacked manager Seo Nam-won on the 21st. He handed over the responsibility of the captains Jo Song-hwa and Kim Sani to the coaches, the trespassing, the grades that fell to the bottom, and the messed up team atmosphere.

What was even more shocking was that he entrusted coach Kim, who returned from leaving the team, to act as an acting coach. If you compare it to the military, it is like appointing an officer who returned from leaving the garrison at will during the war as the commander. While it is known that there was a quarrel between coach Kim, Song-Hwa Cho, and former coach Seo, there were also a lot of scorn from volleyball fans that the coup was successful over Coach Kim’s promotion to acting coach.
Even after examining the history of professional sports in Korea, there has been no case where the right to run the game was granted to a coach who returned without permission. The IBK club also does not deny that coach Kim is subject to disciplinary action, but the ban took precedence over sanctions. The cause was the stabilization of the team.
Coach Kim explained that he had his own reasons for trespassing, saying, “I heard abusive language from coach Seo and expressed my gratitude to the club.” I want you to consider the choices you had to make. I hope you don’t think that I just went out because I was angry.”
Coach Kim emphasizes that his return was a decision for the team’s players. In a pre-match broadcast interview, he announced that he would resign after a new manager was appointed.
Kim Ho-jin, secretary general of the IBK volleyball team, also explained, “(Acting Kim) announced in a broadcast interview before the game that he would resign if a new manager was appointed.
However, after the match ended with IBK’s victory, Director Kim made a sudden clarification. He came out with the sophistry that the resignation that acting manager Kim talked about meant that he would step down from the ‘acting coach’, not the team.
The IBK clearly nailed the acting coach Kim system as ‘temporary’. When a new manager is appointed, coach Kim has to give up his seat even if he doesn’t want to. The very expression ‘resignation’ is absurd.
The team’s erratic response is also ridiculous. In a situation where the attention was inevitable, after appointing a new coach, he should have come to the scene after clarifying about coach Kim’s future plans, but he made a skit that affirmed his ‘resignation’ statement, but denied it within a few hours.
Director Kim said, “When a new manager is appointed (coaching staff), he has the right to sculpt. Coach Kim can either leave the team or stay.” Even if an official commander-in-chief arrives, IBK’s redness does not seem to be easy to deal with.
