The 32nd Certified Realtor Qualification Exam was held on the 30th. The number of test takers was found to be the largest ever. It is analyzed that this is because interest in real estate has increased due to the surge in house prices.

According to the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, 408,492 people flocked to the 32nd Qualification Examination for Realtors held on that day. This year, the number of applicants for the College Scholastic Ability Test (SAT) is close to 510,000.

408,492 test takers are the largest number since the real estate agent system was introduced in 1983. Last year was the largest ever, but this year, the number increased by 45,728.

When looking at the age of the test takers, it was found that 39% of them were in their 20s and 30s. Analysts say that the number of young people applying seems to have increased as the unemployment crisis continues. Some analysts say that it is because the expectation of getting a lot of brokerage commissions has grown as house prices soared. However, it is unclear whether the government will be able to get as much brokerage fees as expected by enforcing the new Chartered Brokers Act enforcement rules on the 19th of this month.
