While an Internet article stating that kimchi was reused at a restaurant in Busan sparked controversy, the restaurant denied the allegations.

On the 8th, on the bulletin board of the online community ‘Bobae Dream’, an article titled ‘We share reusable ribs in Suyeong-dong, Busan’ was posted.

Author A said, “I ordered a set meal at A rib restaurant in Suyeong-dong, Suyeong-gu for a late lunch today.” Then, he said, “I met grilled kimchi that was well grilled on the fire inside (baechu kimchi) raw kimchi (baechu kimchi) (as a side dish),” he said sarcastically. . In the released photo, kimchi that looks like grilled kimchi along with raw kimchi is placed in a side dish bowl.

Mr. A said, “It’s a rib shop I’ve been using for years, but when I called the boss and told him, ‘It can’t be’ or ‘It’s new food’, it was so absurd that I took a picture.” He also pointed out, “When I tried to pay, they said they didn’t take any money, so I couldn’t do it. They followed me to the car and grabbed me and said, ‘Please take a look,’ but I think a restaurant like this should be punished.”

He continued, “It’s nothing else, and it’s really too much in this situation of Corona.” “I’m still sick to my stomach. I reported it to the (Busan) City Hall and sent a photo. He added.

Finally, Mr. A said, “I’m from Busan, but I know that a lot of people were caught reusing food in Busan earlier this year, and it’s really embarrassing.”

Netizens who saw the story responded through comments such as “Please be punished”, “Things like that must be destroyed”, “Reuse of side dishes in a time like these days”, and “You must never put up with food jokes.” .

However, the owner of Restaurant B said it was unfair.

Mr. C, who said he had a brotherhood with his owner, claimed in a phone call with the Busan Ilbo on the 9th, “It may be misunderstood as a guest, but reusing kimchi is not true.” He also explained the reason why grilled kimchi was added to the guest table.

Mr. C explained, “It’s a restaurant where the boss and two employees work. I roasted kimchi for a late breakfast, and three customers came in at that time, so I put the raw kimchi in a bowl of fried kimchi without knowing it,” explained Mr. C. Mr. C claimed that the owner never served the reused side dishes to the customer table. “At that time, the owner was so embarrassed that he could only say ‘I’m sorry’ to the customer,” he added.

Mr. C said, “It makes no sense to reuse side dishes in a time of Corona. Discard the side dishes left by customers immediately.”
