The Indian team officially defeated New Zealand by winning all three matches of the T20 series. The series was a response to the Kiwis’ eight-wicket win over India in the previous T20 World Cup Super 12 round. The series, which came to play without many of the key players, never once saw its lack.

This is the first T20 series win for Rohit Sharma since he was appointed as the permanent captain of the T20 team. Rohit Sharma’s performance throughout the series was phenomenal. Rohit Sharma also won the Man of the Series award. After the final match, Hitman revealed the secret behind his trademark pull shot.

‘I grew up playing on cement pitches and concrete pitches. My approach changed when I started to open up in my career. I can not say that I got the ability to play pull shots naturally. I have done a lot of training to play those shots, ”said Rohit.

‘I’ve been out a lot of times trying for a pull shot. If you have a talent you should bring it out without thinking about getting out. Short pitching is one of my skills in playing balls. So I will try to play such shots and get maximum results .’- Rohit added.

Rohit Sharma hit 10 sixes in the series. The sight of Rohit Sikhs playing an easy pull shot against world-class bowlers including Bolt was a feast for the fans. In the second match of the series, Hitman hit a rare 450 sixes in international cricket, and in the third match, he crossed the 150 sixes mark in international T20s.

Along with the series win, the new captain Rohit also got another hand in action. After winning the trophy, the team members came to the edge and handed over the trophy to the debutants of the series.

Rohit Sharma, who handed over the trophy to the much-watched Herschelle Patel and Venkatesh Iyer in the series, repeated the same style followed by former captains MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli.
