[스포츠서울 | 정다워기자] Cristiano Ronaldo (36), who is about to make a comeback to Manchester United, has expressed his determination.

Ronaldo, wearing a Manchester United jersey, is expected to make a comeback at home at Old Trafford on the 11th at 11pm Korean time. It’s a comeback game after 12 years.

Ahead of the important game, Ronaldo said in an interview with the club, “Winning is the reason I came to United. “I didn’t come to Manchester to play,” he said. Ronaldo continued, “It was great years ago when I wore a Manchester United jersey and won several competitions,” Ronaldo said. Manchester United haven’t won the Premier League since the 2012-2013 season.

Ronaldo left Juventus (Italy) through the transfer window last summer and returned to Manchester United after 12 years. After signing with Manchester United, he was immediately called up to the Portugal national team and completed the 2022 Qatar World Cup European qualifiers.

If nothing goes wrong, Ronaldo is expected to play at Old Trafford ground in the weekend against Newcastle. According to local media, tickets for this match are already sold out. The ticket is said to have risen to a maximum of £2514.

Manchester United’s home ground, Old Trafford, is also preparing for a comeback with a banner with Ronaldo’s face on it. The Premier League, Manchester United and European football are concentrating on Ronaldo’s appearance against Newcastle.
