Ronaldo News Townsend copies Ronaldo goal celebration

Everton’s English player Andros Townsend celebrates after Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal after scoring in today’s Premier League match against Manchester United. The celebration to imitate Ronaldo came from the Townsend side after Everton scored the equalizer in the match. The incident has gone viral in the world of football.

Anthony Marshall’s goal in the 43rd minute of the match at Old Trafford gave Manchester United a draw in the second half. In the 65th minute, Townsend jumped to United’s box and got the ball from the right side of the field into the net. United goalkeeper David de Gea could only watch as Townsend’s shot went into the net.

After scoring the goal, Townsend ran into the corner flag and jumped into the air, witnessing the gallery as Ronaldo held a model celebration. Ronaldo was on the field watching the celebration as Townsend imitated him.

Speaking after the match, Townsend said he had made such a goal in honor of his idol, Ronaldo. The Everton international, who said he grew up watching Ronaldo play and spent hours on the training ground learning his techniques, added that he needed to work a little harder to make the goal celebration better by imitating him.
