Ross Brawn “The surge in F1 popularity in the US justifies more than two races”[F1-Gate .com]

F1 Managing Director Ross Brawn will be hosting two races in the United States and more in the situation where tickets for the F1 US Grand Prix were sold out last weekend and fan engagement is rising. He says he justifies what he does “comfortably.”

A total of 400,000 spectators visited the Circuit of the Americas last weekend to watch F1.

The figure of 400,000 easily exceeds Silverstone’s record 351,000 visitors in 2019, and the 2021 F1 US Grand Prix remains the record for the biggest race weekend in F1 history. It will be.

“We are seeing a very strong engagement with American fans right now,” Ross Brawn commented in a post-race debrief at Formula1.com.

“For years, F1 has been a cult hobby in the United States, but now engagement is real. Fans know the driver, his personality, and the nuances of F1.”

“It’s very exciting and I think the fan passion we experienced this weekend shows that F1 can comfortably race two and perhaps even more races in the United States.”

Like F1 fans, Ross Brawn was obsessed with action on the course of the final, a fierce battle between the two protagonists Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton competing for the F1 title.

“F1’s return to the United States for the first time in two years has always been an incredibly tense competition,” said Ross Brawn.

“Mercedes changed his strategy and eventually gave Lewis a tire advantage over Max and Red Bull, but it was unclear if that was enough. After all, it wasn’t.”

“It was a race that was nailed to the screen, and it was a study of gaps and tire strategies to see how the race evolved.”

“I wasn’t sure who would take the lead until the end. Neither Lewis nor Max made a mistake. That’s the great thing about this championship.”

“I think there were two drivers who were driving perfectly and I didn’t see any mistakes in either. There were no significant mistakes anyway.”

“And it ended a sensational weekend with a large sold-out crowd every day, great weather, great atmosphere, and great vibes in the place.”

F1 will hold the F1 Miami GP for the first time in 2022 in addition to the F1 US GP in Austin. There are also rumors that it will host the third American race in Las Vegas.
