The coronavirus pandemic is reportedly the cause of Manchester United’s decision not to follow through on the signing Jadon Sancho. The Guardian says Borussia Dortmund’s asking price of 108 million pounds, combined with his wage demands and the share wanted by his agent, would cost nearly 227 million pounds – a figure the club bosses were unwilling to pay in the economic uncertainty of the pandemic.
Staying with United, the Manchester Evening News reports that the club could make another move for the Watford winger Ismaila Sarr after rejecting a previous offer. The Red Devils had applied for an initial season-long loan for the 22-year-old, however the Hornets are believed to be holding on for a permanent transfer.
