[モスクワ ３日 ロイター] – Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday that he prefers a “balanced” approach to the issue of the use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine rather than emotions.
Heikh Kadyrov of the southern Chechen Republic answered questions from reporters in an online briefing last weekend about his criticism of the Russian military command and call for the use of “small nuclear weapons”.
“This is a moment that evokes very strong emotions. Local heads have the right to express their opinion,” said Peskov. Emotions should be eliminated,” he said. “It is better for us to stick to a balanced and objective assessment,” he said.
He explained that the basis for Russia’s use of nuclear weapons is laid down in the nuclear doctrine, and that “there is no judgment other than that.”
