[ロンドン ２０日 ロイター] – British Defense Minister Wallace said a Russian fighter jet fired a missile near an unarmed British reconnaissance aircraft patrolling international airspace over the Black Sea on September 29. But he said it was clearly an accident and not intended to escalate tensions .
He told parliament that he had conveyed the British government’s concerns about the matter to Russian Defense Minister Shoigu. Russia launched an investigation on October 10 and said the cause was a technical malfunction.
He added that Russia had confirmed that the incident took place in international airspace and that patrols had now resumed, with British aircraft being escorted by fighter jets.
