[キーウ(キエフ) 5日 ロイター] – New missile strikes by the Russian military on the 5th have caused massive power outages across Ukraine. At least two people were killed and three others, including a child, were injured when a missile hit a house in the southeastern province of Zaporozhye.

Air raid sirens sounded across Ukraine, and in the capital Kyiv (Kyiv), the temperature dropped to minus 5 degrees Celsius.

The attack has cut power to 40 percent of the province, said Kuleva, the governor of northern Kyiv province.

In the southern province of Odesa, water supply has been cut off due to power loss, and power cuts have been implemented around the city of Mikolaiu due to fire fears.

President Volodymyr Zelensky urged the Russian people to be patient and united as the country faces winter as power plants and other power restoration work continues after the recent Russian military attack on critical infrastructure.
