In addition, a total of seven firefighters who demonstrated the spirit of sacrifice at the scene of various fires and disasters were selected as ‘Hero Firefighters of 2021’. Fire Department Kim Hak-jin (Ulsan Fire Department), Jang Young-mi (Gwangju Southern Fire Department), Yang Jin-tae (Gyeonggi Uijeongbu Fire Department), Ryu Dong-ik Fire Department (Dunsan Fire Station, Daejeon), Fire Chief Lee Dong-gyu (Chungnam Asan Fire Station), Kim Byeong-wook (Seoul Jongno Fire Station), Park Byeong-ju Fire Department (Jeonnam Suncheon Fire Station), etc.

The awards ceremony was held with only the best firefighters in attendance to prevent the spread of COVID-19. S-OIL has sponsored about 3,000 firefighters over the past 17 years.
