‘Sad that Nedumbassery airport could not be named after Karunakaran’ | K Muraleedharan

Thiruvananthapuram: The son of K Karunakaran, who worked hard for the Nedumbassery airport, could not be named at the airport, his son K Muraleedharan MP said. This was what would happen if the state government passed a resolution in the Assembly and sent it to the Center.

Karunakaran passed away in 2010. In 2011, a Congress-dominated government came to Kerala. Until 2014, the UPA government was at the center. But the naming alone did not happen. I do not know the reason for that. Muraleedharan said he did not know when the ruling equation would come. Muraleedharan was speaking after receiving the book ‘Three and a half years with the leader’ written by KS Premachandra Kurup.

Opposition leader VD Satheesan, who released the book, said that the Congress had only one leader in Kerala and that those who came after him could not take off Karunakaran’s shoes. Satheesan said that Karunakaran was completely innocent in the Rajan case, the Palmoil case and the spy case.
