Saeul Nuclear Power Plant No disruption to the operation of the nuclear power plant in connection with the earthquake in the eastern seas of Ulsan

The Ulsan Fire Department also said, “So far, there have been no reports of earthquakes.”

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Saeul Nuclear Power Headquarters announced on the afternoon of the 19th that “nuclear power plants are operating safely throughout the country, including the Shin-Kori nuclear power plant,” in relation to the earthquake with a magnitude of 4.6 in the the eastern seas of Ulsan.

Saeul Nuclear Power Headquarters added, “There is no equipment failure or radiation leakage due to the earthquake.”

The Korea Meteorological Administration announced that a magnitude 4.6 earthquake occurred in a sea area 144 km east of Dong-gu, Ulsan, at 8:40 pm on the same day, citing foreign observation agencies.

The epicenter is at 35.40 degrees north latitude and 131.00 degrees east longitude, and the depth of the earthquake is 10 km.

Meanwhile, the Ulsan Fire Department said, at 10:20 pm, there have been no reports of earthquakes.
