The government’s investigation into the 10.29 disaster ended today.
A report setting out the responsibilities of the Minister of Public Administration and Security, Lee Sang-min, was adopted with all members of the People’s Power leaving.
In this meeting, the comments of Congressman Jo Su-jin, the power of the people, were again controversial.
The bereaved family protested strongly and even fainted.

10.29 Last meeting to adopt the government’s investigation report on a disaster.
Faced with the issue of accusing Minister of Public Administration and Security Lee Sang-min of perjury, Representative Su-jin Cho began to speak.
Suddenly, they bring up the topic of ‘Cheongdam-dong Drinking Party’.

Opposition lawmakers and bereaved families demanded a stop, but Congressman Cho did not stop.

The grieving families listening sobbed.

In the end the representative of the bereaved family collapsed and was taken to hospital.
In the special committee, the ruling and the opposition parties were contrary to the responsibility of Minister of Public Administration and Security Lee Sang-min and the charge of perjury.

In the end, all members of Crym y Popl left, and only members of the 3 opposition parties remained and adopted the report on the investigation into state affairs.
The report included “Minister Lee Sang-min’s responsibility, secondary harm to the bereaved family, and perjury.”
In addition, inefficient use of security personnel following the relocation of the presidential office to Yongsan was also recorded as a cause.
The special committee also decided to charge nine people, including Minister Lee Sang-min, President Han Oh-seop, and National Police Commissioner Yoon Hee-geun, for perjury and non-attendance.
The bereaved families demanded an independent fact-finding organisation, claiming that half of the government’s investigation had been delayed due to budget disputes and that the rights of the bereaved families had not been guaranteed.
