Sales Champion for 6th Consecutive Week, Chinese Consumers Boom for iPhone 13 Series

According to the latest figures released by market research firm Counterpoint Research, the iPhone 13 series ranks first in sales in the Chinese market, and has been at the top for six consecutive weeks. Figures from Counterpoint Research indicate that from October 2021, Apple will be China’s largest smartphone maker, although it briefly lost the top spot before regaining the top spot in early December.

Counterpoint Research said that after the launch of the iPhone 13, Apple was in the leading position most of the time, and rarely succumbed to vivo. This impressive result is due to the relatively low pricing of the iPhone 13 in China, which helps promote sales, plus offers new cameras and 5G capabilities. In addition, Huawei’s continued US sanctions have also left Apple without a major competitor in the high-end mobile phone market.

The report mentioned that the iPhone 13 accounted for 51% of overall iPhone sales, the iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro accounted for 23% and 21%, respectively, while the iPhone 13 mini accounted for only 5%. While other iPhone models were not included in the study, Counterpoint Research said the strong performance of the iPhone 12 underpins Apple’s overall sales growth.
