Kochi: Police salute Suresh Gopi MP again amid controversy. The SI gave the salute when he arrived for the inauguration of the BJP’s Smritikeram project in Cheranelloor, Kochi. In Thrissur, KB Ganesh Kumar MLA came out in support of the MP who was adamant that it was right to ask for a salute from a policeman.

The Cheranellore SI saluted Pandit Karuppan on his way back from planting coconuts in his backyard in Cheranelloor, Kochi. The coconut saplings were planted as part of the Smriti Keram project. The MP, who did not respond to the controversy, wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is celebrating his 71st birthday tomorrow.
Earlier, Suresh Gopi had said that there was nothing wrong with forcing the SI in Ollur to salute him. Salute also criticized police organizations for mixing politics. Police organizations were rejected by the MP’s issue. Palakkad Youth Congress workers saluted with shoes and protested against the MP.
