Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik has leveled serious allegations against Sameer Wankade, the investigating officer in the Aryan Khan drug case. An NCB official has released a letter claiming that Sameer Wankhede was involved in illegal cases involving Bollywood stars. Nawab Malik also alleged that Sameer Wankhede extorted money from Bollywood stars.

Nawab Malik, the NCP leader and minister, has come out with a scathing attack on investigating officer Sameer Wankhede, hours before the Bombay High Court hears Aryan Khan’s bail plea in a drug case. Nawab Malik also claimed that an NCB official had written to him alleging that Sameer Wankhede was involved in 26 cases, including the one in which Bollywood stars were accused. A copy of the letter was also released. The NCB Director General said that the letter has been received and necessary steps will be taken. A witness in the case had given an affidavit in the trial court that Sameer Wankhede and others had demanded Rs 25 crore from Shah Rukh Khan to save Aryan Khan from the case. The NCB’s vigilance unit has launched an investigation. Earlier in the day, Nawab Malik had alleged that Sameer Wankhede had obtained the job by submitting a fake caste certificate. Sameer Wankhede may be replaced in the investigation of the drug case in the wake of the allegations. Meanwhile, Sameer Wankhede visited the NCB headquarters in Delhi and met the Director General.
