Rep. Kang said, “We had a lot of opinions about the timing and scope of the 1 million doses of Moderna vaccine mentioned by Samsung Biologics in Korea.”
Rep. Kang said, “If the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety’s approval for the manufacture and sale of the Moderna vaccine (Samsung Biologics consignment production) is completed quickly, and if negotiations between the government and Moderna to introduce the vaccine into Korea go smoothly, the There was a prospect that it could be introduced,” he added.
The Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, which is currently inoculated with the approval of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in Korea, is a product that has received permission for import products from three overseas manufacturing plants.
Moderna vaccines produced at the Samsung Biologics plant, a separate manufacturing plant, must be approved again in order to be manufactured for domestic supply.
However, as it is a licensed vaccine, the industry observes that the approval will be issued quickly.
