Samsung Galaxy Note series or discontinued, plans to replace it with Fold series

There was news at the beginning of the year that Samsung would not launch a new Galaxy Note series flagship machine this year, but may return next year. Recently, however, foreign media reported that Samsung has decided to withdraw the Galaxy Note series from the market. The models that are still on sale will be discontinued at the end of the year, and will no longer be launched in the Galaxy Note series in the future. It is estimated that this move is Samsung’s move to increase the production of foldable mobile phones.

Some Korean media pointed out that the main reason for Samsung’s decision to stop producing the Galaxy Note series was the increase in the production of folding screen phones. It decided to increase production capacity to stabilize the yield of folding screen phones and reduce costs, thereby replacing its flagship positioning in the second half of the year.

Since the Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 3 also joined the S Pen design, the positioning of the Galaxy Note has indeed become blurred. Although Samsung has given up on the development of the Galaxy Note series, it will not give up the S Pen stylus, and will instead support flagship models such as S21 Ultra and Z Fold 3. It is estimated that the S22 Ultra series, launched early next year, will join the pen slot of the Galaxy Note, replacing the position of the Note.

The Galaxy S Note series has an important position for Samsung to seize the smartphone market. The large screen and stylus that year broke through the frame of the iPhone and successfully created the trend of “bigger” mobile phone screens.
