Samsung, KT, LG 1st place competition + Doosan SSG 4th place competition + Kiwoom PS challenge, the greatest final match is coming

[OSEN=길준영 기자] In the 2021 season, the KBO League will play the last game of the season.

The KBO League will play the final match of the regular season at all five stadiums on the 30th. The rankings of the teams in the postseason from 1st to 6th have not been decided yet, so there will be a bloody ranking competition.

First, Samsung Lions, KT Wiz, and LG Twins clash for first place. Samsung and KT, who are jointly in first place, have to win first and watch the result of the opposing team. If one team wins and one team loses, the winning team can rise to the top spot. If Samsung and KT both win or lose both and LG also loses and finishes the final match with a tie for first place, the first place will be determined by a tie-break game in Daegu on the 31st.

Third place LG also has a chance. If both Samsung and KT lose and LG wins, LG can take first place in the regular season. This means that there is still a chance for a final confrontation. Even if one of the two teams wins and takes first place, the win is desperate because LG has a chance to jump to second place if they win the final match.

4th place Doosan Bears and 5th place SSG Landers are also competing for 4th place. The 6th-placed Kiwoom Heroes have not yet given up hope of advancing to the postseason.

Doosan is simple. A win or a draw in the final match can confirm fourth place. However, if Doosan loses and SSG wins, SSG could move up to fourth place.

SSG can aim for up to 4th place, but if you do it wrong, you can even fail to advance to the postseason. If SSG loses and Kiwoom wins, Kiwoom can move up to fifth place and qualify for the final postseason. Kiwoom is in a situation where a victory is unconditionally necessary to advance to the postseason, as the 6th place is confirmed even if there is a draw.

All three teams competing for first place are not friendly against each other. Samsung will meet 7th place NC in Changwon. NC, where Wes Parsons starts as a starting pitcher, is by no means an easy opponent. Samsung also lost to NC in the game on the 29th, where Drew Luchinsky started. Samsung will start with David Buchanan.

KT will play against 5th place SSG in Incheon. KT desperately needs a victory for first place, but SSG is expected to play with all their might because SSG may also be eliminated in the postseason. So, So-Jun for KT, and Gun-Woo Kim for SSG as the starting pitcher.

LG will face 8th place Lotte in Busan. Lotte’s ranking has already been confirmed, but starting pitcher Park Se-woong is a difficult pitcher to attack. LG announced ace Casey Kelly as the starting pitcher.

Doosan and Kiwoom met relatively easy opponents. Doosan will face Hanwha, the lowest ranked player, in Daejeon, while Kiwoom will face 9th place, KIA, in Gwangju. Doosan and Hanwha announced Choi Won-jun and Jang Min-jae as starting pitchers, respectively. For Kiwoom and KIA, Eric Yokishi and Bo Takahashi will start as starting pitchers. /fpdlsl72556@osen.co.kr
