Samsung Lions beat NC Dinos 1-0.
Samsung defeated NC 1-0 in the 2021 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League home match held at Samsung Lions Park in Daegu on the 25th, driving NC into a swamp of seven consecutive losses.
Samsung Koo Ja-wook went on base with a left-handed hit after two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, and then went to second base with NC starting pitcher Wes Parsons’ wide pitch. Next, Kim Dong-yup slammed a timely hit to left fielder and called Koo Ja-wook into the home.
Samsung, who seized the victory, put in Shim Chang-min (7 innings), Choi Ji-kwang, Woo Kyu-min, and Oh Seung-hwan (8 or more innings) in turn, resulting in a team shutout victory.
Samsung starter Tae-in Won, who blocked 6 innings without a score, harvested 13 wins in the season and climbed to first place jointly with Jeong-hyeon Baek and Eric Yokishi. Seunghwan Oh appeared in the 8th inning from 2nd to 1st and 3rd base, striking out Altair and putting out 35 saves.
