Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna entered the Australian Open mixed doubles final. Defeated third seed Neal Shupski and Kravashik. The Indian pair then won the draw.
Sania Mirzak, who is playing the last Grand Slam championship of her career, is one match away from the title. In the semi-finals, Sania and Bopanna defeated Neil Pupski from Britain and Desire Kravashik from the UAC. While the Indian pair strengthened by winning the first set, Shupski and Kravashi fought back by winning the second set. The victory was then won in a draw. Score 7–6, 6–7, 10–6,
This is Sania Bopanna’s first Grand Slam final. The previous best performance was a fourth place finish at the Rio Olympics 2016. Sania has decided to retire from competition with the Dubai Open tournament to be held in February.
