Thiruvananthapuram: Education Minister V Sivankutty has criticized Sanju Samson for not being considered for the Team India. In a Facebook post, the minister demanded that Sanju Samson be given better consideration by the Indian selectors.

Despite his consistent performances in the IPL and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Sanju was not considered by the selectors for the T20 squad for the series against New Zealand. Sanju, who shone in the IPL, was expected to get a chance when the senior players who played in the T20 World Cup were rested.

Saunju was also instrumental in helping Kerala reach the quarterfinals of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Kerala will take on defending champions Tamil Nadu in the quarterfinals tomorrow.
