Mumbai: All-rounder Mitchell Santner has been ruled out of New Zealand’s Test series against India. But when the awards were announced at the end of the series, the prize of Rs 1 lakh was in Santoner’s name.
In the second Test in Mumbai, Santouner was awarded Rs 1 lakh for his outstanding performance on the field as a substitute.
India won the toss and elected to bat in the first innings. The player was fielded as a replacement. 46th over of Indian innings. Shreyas Iyer hit the first ball of the over over William Somerville over the midwicket. But Santner had other plans for that shot, which confirmed everyone was sixes.
