Thiruvananthapuram: Prominent story writer, novelist and Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award winner Satish Babu Payyannoor found dead in his flat in Vanchiyur.
He has written seven novels and two collections of stories. He has directed a number of television films and documentaries. He was a member of the Kerala Film Academy. He also wrote the screenplay for the 1992 film Nakshatra Kudaram.
At 2.30pm on Thursday, the police broke down the door of the flat and entered. The police arrived at the flat based on the information from the people in the next flat. Satish Babu was found dead near the sofa. The police inform that there is nothing unusual in the death.
