Jeddah: The Ministry of Health has announced that it has started distributing the vaccine to all children between the ages of five and eleven in Saudi Arabia. The parents of the children should book their vaccinations through the Sihati and Tawakkalna apps. The vaccine dose for children will be half the dose for adults and will be given in two phases. Abdullah Aziri had earlier informed.
The Pfizer vaccine is injected into children. In most cases of Kovid infected children the symptoms are very mild. Only a small group of them are hospitalized with serious illnesses. Vaccines are also given to children to prevent them from becoming infected, considering that they live with the elderly. The distribution of vaccine doses will continue until the goals of immunization, including the prevention of serious diseases, are achieved.
