Saudi bans chicken from US and France

Jeddah: Saudi Arabia has banned the import of poultry, eggs and their products from the United States and France following bird flu. The Saudi Food and Drug Authority has banned the Chamber of Commerce from banning poultry and its products from the US states of Delaware, Kentucky and the Mayan region of France.

It is based on reports released by the World Organization for Animal Health on the basis of international reports on food security around the world. Avian flu is deadly in the United States and France. Earlier this year, Saudi Arabia banned the import of poultry and eggs from the Danish region of Denmark and the Stavropol region of Russia.
