Another argument has been made that shows the heartlessness of Saudi Arabia’s crown prince, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

According to the Washington Post on the 25th local time, Saad al-Jabri, a former Saudi intelligence agency, said in an interview on CBS that was broadcast on the 24th, “Prince Mohammed boasted in the past that he could assassinate his uncle, the King.” .

Crown Prince Mohammed is said to have made the remarks during a meeting with then Saudi intelligence chief and former Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef in 2014.

Crown Prince Mohammed said he had a poison ring from Russia and said, “I want to assassinate the king. It is enough just to shake his hand.”

The ruler of Saudi Arabia at the time was King Abdullah. King Abdullah died of natural causes in January 2015, and his half-brother, King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, took over the throne.

Crown Prince Mohammed was the son of the current King Salman, and at the time had not held a particularly high position in the government.

If Al-Jabri is right, Muhammad was not hesitant to say that he could assassinate the king and his uncle, Abdullah.

It’s unclear whether Crown Prince Mohammed was just bragging, al-Jabry said, but he insisted that Saudi intelligence took the threat seriously and that the matter was handled internally by the royal family.

He also said he had two video copies of the meeting and knew where they were.

The Saudi embassy in the United States countered to CBS that al-Jabri was an unreliable former official. The embassy said Al-Jabri also had a long history of manipulating facts to cover up his financial crimes.

Al-Jabry was targeted by former Crown Prince bin Nayev, a rival of Crown Prince Mohammed, and fled to Canada in 2017.

When Saudi Arabia raised allegations of embezzlement, al-Jabri denied the allegations, accusing Crown Prince Mohammed of sending assassins to Canada to kill him, while also holding two children hostage in Saudi Arabia.

Crown Prince Mohammed is a journalist who has criticized the Saudi royal family in 2018.

He was blamed for the assassination of the horse Khashoggi in Turkey. In February, the United States released a report from the intelligence service that Crown Prince Mohammed was behind Khashoggi’s assassination, and imposed sanctions on Saudi Arabia.

The United Nations also released a report in June 2019 stating that “there is credible evidence that there is a need to investigate the private involvement of Crown Prince Mohammed and others.”
