Riyadh: Saudi Arabia announces holiday for government and private sector on National Day September 23, 2021 will be a public and private holiday to coincide with National Day. Saad al-Hammad, a spokesman for the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRSD), made the announcement on Twitter.

Saudi Arabia celebrates National Day on September 23 every year. The leave is declared on the basis of Article 24, Article 127 and Article 128 of the Labor Code.
National Day celebrations will be held in all government and private sectors in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Nationals and Foreigners celebrate National Day every year to commemorate the formation of Saudi Arabia by uniting different parts of the country.
The 91st National Day will be celebrated under the theme ‘This is our home’. During the reign of King Abdullah, for the first time since 2005, a public holiday was introduced for all employees as part of the National Day.
