Centurion: KL Rahul’s century helped India in the Test against South Africa. He scored the seventh century of his Test career. Rahul is at the crease with 122 runs. Rahul was ruled out of the Test series against New Zealand due to injury. On his return, he scored a century.
Former Indian cricketers Aakash Chopra and Wasim Jaffer have praised Rahul’s performance. According to Chopra, Rahul is one of the most talented batsmen in India. Chopra, a commentator, took to Twitter to express his displeasure. Chopra said that Rahul’s century in every country he has toured sets him apart from other players.
Jaffer tweeted, “Welcome to the Indian Openers’ Club, which has scored a Test century in South Africa.” Before Rahul’s century, Jaffer was the only opener to score a century against South Africa.
He could not bowl on the second day of the Centurion Test. The game was abandoned on the second day following rain.
