School Reopening | Two people on a bench; Allowance in lieu of lunch; Draft guidelines for opening schools – News18 Malayalam

Thiruvananthapuram: A draft guideline has been issued to open a school in the state. Arrangements will be in the form of two people on a bench. The group will not be allowed to join. They are not allowed to go to the shops in front of the school and eat. No more than two children in the auto. Schools do not have lunch and allowances are paid instead.

Children with disabilities do not need to be sent in the first place. Minor symptoms should not be sent in the first place. The final document will be issued within five days. The system is set up to check body temperature and oxygen. There will be soap and water for hand washing in front of classrooms.

Do not send children to school even if they have minor symptoms of the disease. A cleaning drive will be held to clean the school. The school level PTA meeting will be held before the school reopens.

Education Minister V Sivankutty said the government was moving towards extensive discussions with teachers’ unions on the arrangement and preparation of classes. The government has decided to reopen the school on November 1.

Education Minister V Sivankutty said there was no need to worry about Plus One admission. All students will have the opportunity. Seats will be shifted from vacant districts to deficient districts. In the Malabar region, the number of seats has been increased by 20 per cent, he said.

The Plus One examination in the state will begin today. A total of 4.17 lakh students are appearing for the exams. Malappuram district has the highest number of students appearing for the examination with 75,590. Earlier, the apex court itself had allowed the examination to be postponed following the Supreme Court’s intervention. Strict security arrangements are in place for the exam.

The examination will be conducted in strict compliance with the Kovid criteria. In the context of the Supreme Court ruling that the state government is responsible for the safety of children, the state government is making great efforts to avoid failures. Examination will be conducted taking into consideration every aspect including maintaining social distance.
