SDA is conducting negotiations on the formation of a new parliamentary majority

With the completion of the House of Peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the last phase of the constitution of the legislative power based on the results of the last General Elections was completed.
Passability of the law
It brought new uncertainty for previously established coalitions and blocs at the state level of BiH, just as the recent election of delegates to the House of Peoples of FBiH disrupted the plans of a coalition of eight political parties. Because, without a majority in the houses of the people, the “Eight” cannot have the passage of laws and other acts.
That is why there is growing speculation about possible new combinators and coalitions in FBiH, which would have a majority in both parliamentary houses, and thus the power to elect a new FBiH Government. In that case, the new relations would spill over to the cantons, and judging by the announcements, also to Zenica-Doboj, which received a new government before the end of the year with the votes of representatives of the SDP, Our Party, NiP, DF, HDZ- and BiH, NES, SBB and BHI-KF.
Conversations with partners
The president of the SDA Cantonal Committee of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, Miralem Galijašević, confirmed for our newspaper that the SDA is conducting intensive discussions with potential partners about the formation of a parliamentary majority, but he did not want to talk about the details.
“The final position on coalitions at the canton level will be adopted by the SDA BiH authorities after the scheduled talks are completed, both in the ZE-DO canton, as well as in the Tuzla canton, Sarajevo canton, Unsko-san and other cantons where the SDA has significant coalition capacity. The headquarters of the coalition partners will coordinate an equal approach to all cantons, so that the new majority will be homogeneous in FBiH and all cantons where we have the capacity,” said Galijašević.
