In the third quarter of this year, the application for loss compensation for small businesses due to the quarantine measures against the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) marked the second day on the 28th.

On this day, if the last digit of the business registration number is ‘even’, you can apply online without separate documents at the ‘Small Business Loss Compensation Website’ (Small Business Loss Compensation.kr).

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups will operate the ‘odd-even system’ based on the last digit of the business registration number until the 30th. From the 31st, all applications can be made without discrimination.

The target for loss compensation is 800,000 small businesses and small business entities that have suffered serious business losses due to the implementation of a ban on gatherings or restrictions on business hours during the period from July 7 to September 30, and a total of 2.4 trillion won will be paid.

Of these, 620,000, or 77%, were eligible for ‘expedited compensation’ that applied without separate documents from the previous day.

For the first three days (27th ~ 29th) of expedited compensation application, compensation is paid 4 times a day, and if you apply before 4pm, you can receive it on the same day.

If you apply between 0 am and 7 am, payment will start at 10 am on the same day. do. Applications made between 4 p.m. and midnight will be paid from 3 a.m. the next day.

Of the 620,000 eligible for expedited compensation, 310,000 people with odd numbers at the end of their business registration number were sent a text message the day before, and from 8 am on the same day, they will also be sent sequentially to 310,000 even-numbered people.

You can also apply offline from the 3rd of next month. You can apply by visiting the loss compensation window at the nearest Si/Gun/Gu office within the location of your business site.
