Yambu: The Saudi Ministry of Health has denied rumors circulating on social media about the distribution of the second dose of the Kovid vaccine. The vaccine has been discontinued due to possible side effects and health problems during the second dose.
The ministry tweeted an explanation in this regard yesterday. The ministry said this in response to a question on the vaccine. On April 10, the ministry officially announced that all bookings for the second dose would be postponed.
Those who received the first dose were also informed about the postponement of the second dose through the ‘Sihati’ application. The ministry had said that the second injection date would be announced to consumers through the ‘Sihati’ app itself. The ministry said that the second dose of vaccination is currently being given to those above 75 years of age.
A spokesman for the ministry said the shortage of vaccinations globally was a crisis and that a second dose schedule would be announced depending on the availability of the drug. Muhammad Al Abdul Ali informed.
