(See photos/clips) Factory fire in Henan kills 38, revealed to be illegal electrical equipment

A massive fire broke out at a chemical and industrial goods trading factory in Anyang City. Thirty-eight people died, two were slightly injured, and the fire was caused by illegal welding equipment.

Chinese and world media reported today (Nov. 22) that the fire happened at 4:00 pm on Monday. In the Kaixinda Trading Factory in Anyang City, Henan Province, more than 60 fire trucks and 240 personnel from various departments were dispatched in four hours to help stop the fire, and after midnight, the fire can be completely extinguished.

Latest news reports indicate that 38 people died in this fire. many of them are women and at least two others were slightly injured.

According to company registration information, Kaixinda Trading Co., Ltd. operates as a wholesaler of various industrial products. including specialty chemicals

Authorities have now arrested a group of suspects linked to the crime in the fire in order to investigate them.
