See the Future at Michigan Tech Expo Design

Inventors, innovators and student entrepreneurs encourage hope for a better tomorrow
in the presentation of their project to judges and the public on Thursday, 18 April.

What makes full-flexion knee implants, power system capable of backups and elevator
– for bird watching towers – all of them are common? They are life enhancing solutions
among more than 100 undergraduate student projects worldwide exhibited at the 19th annual annual Design at the University of Michigan Technology.

All are welcome to attend, which is free, and runs from 8 a.m. to 4 pm. Thursday
in the Union Union Ballroom Memorial on the Michigan Tech campus.

Student Innovation in Action

Huskies is registered in Enterprise Tech and Design Tech Tech Michigan programs to present their projects, which include
a low cost vaccination refrigerator to provide access to key health initiatives in development
world; high-strength aluminum alloy scales to improve the tensile and physical strength
product properties; 1,000-mile-in-gallon competition vehicle; and DIY climate
sensor.

Curious about a device, process or product that you see at Expo? Just ask. Teams work
a hard presentation with a presentation and they are happy to tell you their projects.

Huskies learns through Making

An innovative Michigan Tech Enterprise Program is open to all stewards to foster interdisciplinary
learning, leadership development and project-based work. Different teams of first year
through graduate students to develop products, processes and services within their own
market space, with perennial engagement from concept to design, testing and complete
implementation.

Senior Design challenges high-level higher-level students to explore
and addressing global design challenges in their final year. The program connects
students and industry sponsors through open-ended projects that follow staff
