The love between family members is moving! There is a 10-year-old girl in China. In order to raise medical expenses for her sister who is suffering from a rare disease, she helped set up a stall on the side of the road to sell sweet potatoes. When she had time, she did homework.

According to “Jimu News”, a video circulated on the Internet. A girl was lying on a stool by the side of the road doing her homework. At the same time, she was helping an adult sell sweet potatoes. A board next to the booth read: “Hello everyone, this is Meimei She lives in Lucun Town, Yiyuan County, Zibo, Shandong. My sister got acute leukemia in May this year. She spent 200,000 yuan (RMB) up and down. She is currently being treated at Shandong Provincial Hospital in Jinan.”

The girl’s mother, Ms. Li, revealed that after her youngest daughter was diagnosed with acute leukemia, she and her husband took the youngest daughter to Jinan for treatment, and the husband also quit their jobs. The couple spent more than 200,000 yuan (about 870,000 New Taiwan dollars). Meimei, a girl, stays in her hometown to attend elementary school. She is usually taken care of by her grandmother. In order to subsidize the family, her grandmother sets up a stall to sell sweet potatoes. Meimei wants to help her family share the pressure. She often goes to the stall to help after school. After the girls selling sweet potatoes became popular, some units bought 251 sweet potatoes at one time, and anonymous well-wishers helped the children to take them out to the stalls.

The staff of the Women’s Federation of Yiyuan County pointed out that since Ms. Li’s youngest daughter was diagnosed with leukemia in May, they have been assisting through various departments and have already handled relevant relief policies. “As long as it is a relief that meets the policy conditions, we will try our best to help her. I have applied.” With government subsidies and social donations, there is no shortage of girls’ medical expenses.

The staff said that they do not advocate Meimei helping sell sweet potatoes on the street every day after school, thinking that school work should be the most important thing. “It is of course no problem that they sell sweet potatoes. We understand that Meimei is filial and sensible, but now their medical expenses are basically Enough. In the cold and freezing weather, the little girl is selling sweet potatoes on the street, and her safety and schooling are not guaranteed.” At present, the Women’s Federation has communicated with the girl’s parents and arranged psychological counseling.
