Candidate Yoon announced that as the 24th pledge of ‘Seok-Yeol’s heart attack promise’, he said, “We will expand the scope of health insurance coverage for treatments for severe and rare diseases, which cost hundreds to tens of millions of won.”
Candidate Yoon said, “In the case of treatment for severe and rare diseases that are not covered by health insurance, the price of the drug ranges from several hundred thousand won to tens of millions of won due to the low demand, so patients and their families are experiencing double hardship due to illness and medical expenses.” pointed out.
“We will expand the coverage of health insurance to include pediatric leukemia, chemotherapy, and new drugs for severe and rare diseases to reduce blind spots that are not covered.”
