‘Seongdeokim’ fandom, Lee Se-young “I like independent characters. Acting as the person I want to see” [★화보]

[스포츠서울 | 박효실기자] Actress Lee Se-young, who emerged as a hot star through the popular MBC Friday-Saturday drama ‘Red Sleeves’, returned with a denim pictorial that exudes the youthful charm of a young star.

Fashion magazine Vogue Korea released a pictorial of Se-Young Lee under the theme of ‘Clever & Clover’ on the 19th. In the pictorial, Lee Se-young wore various styles of denim outfits. Wearing denim dresses and jackets with different brightness and chroma, various poses were created.

In an interview conducted with the photo shoot, when asked that he seems to have taken on a lot of strong characters so far, he said, “When I think about what people want to see, the characters in the work are often subjective. It’s fun when a character grows up. In the end, I think I want to play a character I want to see.”

Regarding the driving force behind acting as an actor, he said, “I like and want to do better, and I think of the fans.” “I don’t have a lot of fans, but I treat them like family. They are precious to each other, sad and salty. It’s like ‘I know all the hardships we’ve been through’. Fans It gives me strength and gives me a sense of responsibility to do better.”

It was explained to him that acting is similar to a game that breaks through increasingly difficult stages. He said, “Acting is like breaking a quest. It doesn’t end when you go up somewhere, but a quest that carries out each mission one by one. The saying ‘failure is the father of success’ really comes to mind. I like working, and I want to do well but fail. “I think I will, but it will be a process,” he said.

Lee Se-young, who made her debut in SBS ‘Brother’s River’ in 1997 when she was five years old, is a representative case of steadily growing well from a child role to an adult role. He began to attract attention as an adult actor by appearing in the popular KBS2 weekend drama ‘The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop’, and in 2019 tvN’s ‘The Man Who Became King’ received explosive love and emerged as a historical drama queen.

‘Red End of the Sleeve’ is a drama about the story of a real court lady, Seong Deok-im. Jeong-jo (Lee Jun-ho) and Deok-im’s childhood relationship, growth period, and refusal to win twice, and finally the process of ascending to the surname Ui-bin, were loved. .

However, the surname Uibin, recorded in history as Jeongjo’s most loved woman, died in 1786 at the age of thirty-three, five years after becoming a concubine. After giving birth to a son (Prince Munhyo) and a daughter for 5 years, they both suffered the dread of death. Jeongjo mourned the death of Ui Bin-seong and even left an inscription yesterday.

‘Red End of a Clothes Sleeve’, which tells a more heartbreaking story because it is a true story, with excellent acting skills and beautiful images, ended with its highest rating of 17.4%. Thanks to the popularity of the drama, Lee Se-young and Lee Jun-ho won the Best Actor and Best Couple Award at the 2021 MBC Drama Awards, respectively.

Meanwhile, Lee Se-young’s pictorial can be seen in the February issue of Vogue Korea.
