Red Bull Racing has announced that it will extend its current contract with Sergio Perez for two years and remain on the team until 2024.
Sergio Perez, who joined Red Bull Racing in 2021, enjoyed the most successful season in F1. He finished the season in 4th place in the drivers’ ranking, scoring 190 points with four podium finishes, including a victory at the F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Sergio Perez, who signed a new contract ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix race last weekend, won Monaco for the first time. The 32-year-old Perez, who is currently third in the drivers’ championship, is on a course that goes beyond that achievement this year.
With just seven races of the season completed, Sergio Perez scored 110 points and four podiums, including his first F1 pole position at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and a victory at the Monaco Grand Prix. He became the most successful Mexican driver in F1 history.
