Setback for Malayalees; Indigenization move in the nursing sector in the UAE | Staff Nurse | India – United Arab Emirates

Dubai യു The UAE has announced significant plans, including the recruitment of more expatriates in the nursing sector. It was decided to start degree and diploma courses in nursing and to provide scholarships to 10,000 students within 5 years.

Indigenous people working in the fields of nursing, programming and accounting will be given a bonus of Dh5,000 (approximately Rs. 1 lakh) per month in addition to their salary for 5 years. The private sector will provide employment to 75,000 natives with additional benefits.

Plans to create more jobs for natives in the nursing-midwife sector began in April. Indigenization in the field of nursing will affect thousands of Malayalees.

10% repatriation in 5 years

Employers in the private sector should increase the number of native employees at the rate of 2% per annum for 5 years. At the end of 5 years, 10% of the employees should be natives.

A fixed amount will be contributed for 5 years to the pension fund of those earning less than AED 20,000 in the private sector. The allowance is 800 dirhams per month for each of their children.
