Dubai: The Indian cricket team has been having a bad time since last October. Under Virat Kohli, the first two matches of the T20 World Cup were lost in the group stage. They will then lose the Test-ODI series against South Africa. The absence of key players and Kohli’s withdrawal from the captaincy affected the Indian team.
With this year’s T20 World Cup looming and next year’s ODI World Cup looming, it is imperative that India overcome this crisis. Meanwhile, former coach Ravi Shastri has come up with advice for current coach Rahul Dravid.
Shastri’s advice is that Dravid and the team management need to get things done quickly at this time of generational change. “Indian cricket is going through a very important time. It is a time of generational change. Find players who can lead and support the team for 4-5 years.
Such players need to be identified immediately. We need a team of experienced players and young people together. It’s time to find young stars. If we focus on the same thoughts and strategies, then things will go awry, ”Shastri said.
