Shim Sang-jung of the Justice Party and Ahn Cheol-soo of the People’s Party had a meeting today.
It is said that they have reached a consensus on a policy such as a ‘final ballot system’ to raise the alarm for the two-party system.

The two presidential candidates Shim Sang-jung and Ahn Cheol-soo met at a hotel in Yeouido.
The two candidates each entered, and the meeting lasted about 80 minutes in a private manner.
The meeting was held when Candidate Ahn responded, ‘Cooperation on a case-by-case basis is possible’ to Candidate Shim’s proposal to discuss ‘solidarity in the 3rd zone’.
After the meeting, the two candidates said they urged the expansion of hospital beds and medical staff to overcome COVID-19, and actual compensation for losses to small business owners.

“We have decided to make various possible policy cooperation in order to overcome the two-party system and restore people’s livelihood politics and future politics.”
They also agreed to promote cooperation to end the two-party system.
To this end, the two candidates announced that they had reached a consensus on introducing a runoff voting system in the local elections as well as the presidential and general elections.
He also demanded that the truth be revealed before registering as a presidential candidate by introducing a so-called dual special prosecutor on the suspicion of Daejang-dong and the accuser.

“(Special prosecutor) is asking both vested parties to put down the candidate recommendation. Regarding the recommendation, the Justice Party and the People’s Party will form a recommendation committee and recommend it.”
However, the two candidates drew a line for the unification movement that attracted the most attention.

“We exchanged opinions on several issues. (There is talk of unification of the 3rd Zone?) None at all.”
Candidate Shim also plans to meet with former Deputy Prime Minister Kim Dong-yeon.
However, with regard to the 3rd Zone Solidarity, former Deputy Prime Minister Kim can have enough dialogue, but since both Candidates Shim Sang-jung and Ahn Cheol-soo maintained their position that they were part of the political establishment, it is not expected that it will be easy to achieve visible trilateral cooperation and unification.
