Shimane Susanoo Magic announced today that the contract has been canceled after mutual agreement with Kosuke Kanamaru.

Currently 33 years old, Kanamaru is a 192 cm 88 kg small forward. He went from Fukuoka Ohori to Meiji University, spent two seasons at the Panasonic Trians, which started his professional career, and played eight seasons from the 2013-14 season at Seahorses Mikawa. In Mikawa, he was active as a mainstay from the first year of joining, but transferred to Shimane last summer. He started in 33 of the 45 games he played this season, scoring 11.1 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists with an average play time of 27.3 minutes.

It has a shooting power that can be described as a “precision machine”, and has recorded a 3-point shooting success rate of 42.6% in the 11th season of his career. Due to its high shooting power, Kanamaru has no choice but to tighten the mark just by standing on the court, and the influence on the court is great, such as lowering the alert to the surroundings. In addition to 3-point shooting, he is a player who can score in any situation such as driving and floaters that make use of speed, and this season contributed greatly to the championship advancement for the first time in the history of the club.

Kanamaru will be announced on the list of free negotiating players from May 30th.
