Shin Yu-bin, the bronze medalist at the Tokyo Olympics in singles at the World Championships

Shin Yu-bin (71st, Korean Air), the future of Korean table tennis, advanced to the round of 64 in the first match of the World Table Tennis Championships in singles, defeating the bronze medalist at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Shin Yubin defeated Hong Kong ace Suwaiyam Mini (34th) 4-0 in the women’s singles finals of the 2021 International Table Tennis Federation World Table Tennis Championships held in Houston, USA on the 23rd (local time).

Shin Yubin, who won the first set 11-8, lightly overpowered them with 2 sets 11-7, 3 sets 11-6, and 4 sets 11-3. With today’s victory, Shin Yubin cleanly exclaimed the defeat two years ago.

Shin Yubin will face Sarah Denut (79th, Luxembourg) in the round of 64.
